GOOD vs EVIL

"And a certain ruler asked (Jesus), saying, Good master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? And Jesus said to him, why do you call me good? No one is good save one, that is God" (Lk 18:18-19).

"He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone..." (Jn 8:7).

"And why do you see the mote that is in your brothers eye, and fail to see the beam that is in your own?" (Lk 6:41).
"All have sinned and come short of the glory of God"(Rom .3:23).

"For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved" (Jn.3:17).

"BLESSED IS THE NATION WHOSE GOD IS THE LORD" (Psalm 33:12)

"Get thee behind me Satan; for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve" (Lk 4:8).

Did it ever occur to you why Jesus did not destroy Satan right then and there? Has there ever been a created being more evil then this terrible being? And was there ever one better than the Lord?

The cross is the doorway to salvation and eternal life. No one can be saved but by Christ. All have sinned and are under judgement. None are righteous. None are good.

There is no God ordained war of good vs evil on this earth. No one is appointed to fight evil. By the truth of the gospel all must come to the cross of Christ and seek forgiveness for their sins. And by His sacrifice and blood they are washed clean from sin and removed from a divine judgement that hovers over all human beings from their birth.

If we say we have no sin we make GOD a liar. Nations can and must defend themselves and the principles of their way of life. It is hoped that those principles will have God Almighty at the top and the truth of Jesus that will make it a great nation and truly free.

I ask you once again: why didn't Jesus destroy Satan on the spot? Presumptively the convenient myth of "Good vs Evil" would have ended and we would have been liberated. But from what? Are we missing something?

Jesus said he came to save the lost. He never said "the good". Who are the lost? Everyone! Everyone that ever lived, born of male and female, is lost according to the gospel. Who is righteous? None! Who is good? None! Who by their own goodness can demand a seat next to GOD? None! Who has an appointment from GOD to wage war against evil?

Like Jesus, our weapons are not carnal nor material for we wrestle not against flesh and blood. Our strength is through an intelligent use of GOD'S word in the power of The Holy Spirit and the love of Christ (Mt.4:4,7).

We are to obey our leaders in Christ unless their commands are godless. We are to defend our nation as well as our house. It is our great blessing if both are in union with God The Son.
